Based on the IATF Resolution No. 110, the on-going suspension on entry of foreign nationals in the Philippines has been extended until April 30, 2021. This amends the previous IATF Resolution which initially announced the travel ban on foreign arrivals until April 21, 2021.
While the travel ban has been extended, the IATF recommended that the addition of two exemptions to the ban:
- Those who were able to secure an entry exemption endorsed by the NTF Covid Chairperson or his duly-authorized representative, provided that these foreign nationals have a valid Philippine visa upon entry in the country; and
- Those with valid travel ban exemptions (TBE) issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) before March 22, 2021, provided that they possess a valid Philippine visa upon their entry in the country;
No announcement yet if the DFA shall resume processing of new TBEs.
