AEP REQUIREMENTS PENDING RENEWAL OF BUSINESS PERMIT

To facilitate the filing of Alien Employment Permits (AEPs) while awaiting the resolution of business permit renewals, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has announced the acceptance of the following alternative documents in lieu of a valid business permit:

  1. Proof of filing of business permit renewal (i.e. official receipt of the permit renewal application); and
  2. Notarized Affidavit of Undertaking, committing to submit the certified true copy (CTC) of the valid business permit within sixty (60) days.

These alternative documents will be accepted for AEP applications only until 15 February 2025.

Failure to submit the CTC of the valid business permit within the prescribed period will result in the revocation of the AEPs filed during the first quarter of 2025.
